I think they are, Sin Jiu Gin... I can NEVER say it right, and when I ask for it, they always ask me multiple times... what? what? ..... oh... Sin Jiu Giiiiin. tonal languages are so tough for me. I like the long white noodles with the specks dried shrimp... I used to go to a place in San Diego where they would pan fry the stuff, giving it a nice crusty crunch... drizzled with sesame and hoisin... that stuff is good. I like the chicken claws too, but I think the flavor is not woth the effort. As a kid in the Philippines, I remember the Filipino version of the chicken claws... over there, they are on a stick, deep fried then dunked into several different sauces, they're called, "Adidas"... never tried them. A funny duck story...we go out to dim sum pretty often, and I got a plate of duck one time. My 6 year old asked what it was and I told her. "You mean they killed a duck for that?!?!", and I said, "yes, they did",and she said "well that's just MEAN!!!!". What could I say? So I just ate all my duck, smiling the whole time :) We later had to have the discussion about where chicken comes from...and she loves chicken!
