I got hooked when I lived in Houston. For me, it was a thing to do with friends, maybe once a month, then see a movie or hang out at someone's house and play games.
Now I don't get many weekends off. When I do get a Sunday off I want dim sum. I try to get a group together. But it's hard. It doesn't mean to my new friends what it means to me.
Yesterday I was chastised by a friend for picking a food not many like and at a location not too friendly to my east bay pals. Well, sorry dear. It's all about dim sum, not pizza, not burgers, not Thai or sushi. Dim sum. And nothing beats Daly City's Koi Palace, as far as I currently know.
Finally, I did find 2 friends who joined me at 2pm. Man, was it good.
So a quick search, and here is a group who seem to share my passion. Yay. Maybe next time I need my fix, I won't have to pull teeth to get a group!
