any thoughts, ideas, recipes, places to go, etc? i have plenty of friends who won't go with me for dim sum because they're veggies. i can creatively attempt to make my own but i don't really have the time.

Re: vegetarian dim sum?
Sun, May 8, 2005 - 12:28 PMi don't know any vegetarian-only dim sum places. would they mind if you ordered them vegetarian items at a non-vegetarian place? most dim sum places cater to the omnivore, having both veggie and non-veggie items. you can order the gai lan, tofu, and bean curd (fake meat) items... maybe they would like that? -

Re: vegetarian dim sum?
Tue, May 10, 2005 - 11:35 AMsorry to say, but the only vegetarian dim sum place i know of on Grant is now a dessert place.
this place is located on Grant between Washington and Jackson.
so you can get candy, boba, ice cream and silken tofu, but no more dim sum *sniff*sniff* -

Tue, May 10, 2005 - 11:45 AMDouble-check this info by calling them. I'm in the SF Veg tribe and they mentioned this.
Lucky Creation is a chinese veggie/vegan place but I didn't see any dim sum on their menu.
